Kameni next to arrive ? - by Saul McNeilage
Carlos Kameni, the Cameroon goalkeeper so heavily linked with a transfer to Spurs in recent weeks, may well have
moved a step closer to leaving Espanyol with the news that the Spanish club have signed a new keeper this week in
Cristian Alvarez.
Kameni comes very highly rated by all accounts but from what I have seen of him in La Liga this season, he has looked
far from the real deal and doesn’t strike me as the man to replace Paul Robinson in goal if indeed Robbo is moved on.
Now that the silly season is well and truly upon us, rumours galore are flying here there and everywhere as far as Spurs
are concerned. In the last few days THFC have been linked with Morten Gamst Pedersen, Samuel Eto’o, Lassana
Diarra, David Bentley, Joe Hart, Richard Dunne, David Villa and Nicolas Anelka to name but a few as well as having a
reported £4million bid turned down for Cruzeiro striker, Marcelo Moreno.
With Juande Ramos looking to make changes to the team there will, no doubt, be countless more rumours regarding
transfers before the 2008/09 season kicks off in August.
