The FA Cup Semi-Final Draw
by Alan the librarian
The FA Cup Semi-Final draw was taken today as old boys David Ginola and Jason Cundy gave spurs the perfect impetus to beat Fulham in QF replay on Wednesday week, drawing us against PL bottom side Portsmouth.
Aston Villa Vs Chelsea
Tottenham/Fulham Vs Portsmouth
The supersitious few would prefer not to discuss the next round until progression is garantueed but if we do go through Harry will be up against former side Pompey (if they are not wound up by then) .............more

Spurs stuck on replay
by Alan the librarian
For the third consecutive round spurs are forced to negotiate a replay in order to progress in the FA Cup.
However, unlike in the last two rounds, I am not left with that feeling of 'what might have been'. Namely because of the injury list that robbed us of the services of Huddlestone, King and Lennon. Outside of our striking department we were very short on numbers. I didn't recognise some of the faces around Defoe and Gudjohnsen on our bench.
Although we were sti.............more

A case of 'Let it be' for Lennon's groin
by Alan the librarian
Flying winger Aaron Lennon has had his wings clipped for an extended period after specialists ordered he rest his troublesome groin injury for a further 6 weeks.
Although we are showing encouraging signs of coping without him, any side would miss a player who had already assisted in 10 goals prior to his injury in December.
With further concerns over Huddlestone, Jenas and Bentley we now face a shortage of options across our midfield.
I was unsure of the logic in all.............more

Lasagne repeating itself at Spurs Lodge
by Alan the librarian
Our preparations for Sunday's vital game against Everton has been hit by a virus.
Midfielder Wilson Palacios and right back Vedran Corluka are among 18 players and staff to have been hit by the sickness and diarrhoea bug.
Although, Harry said this morning he hoped midfielder Palacios and defender Corluka will be fit and available for selection against Everton on Sunday, the fact that the conference was held at WHL instead of the spurs lodge made Harry's positive front .............more

Tottenham vs. Bolton
by Alan the librarian
I am really looking forward to the Bolton game tomorrow night. Why wouldn't I? Our team are back in 4th following a very sound result at Wigan, whilst Bolton were battered at Blackburn, and Harry has indicated he plans to freshen up the attack.
I have nothing against first choice pair Crouch and Defoe. Crouch's selfless play brings out the best in goal hungry Defoe as his goal record alongside him has shown. He's Heskey to our Rooney. However, both players have flaws an.............more

Call for prayer - 11am
by Alan the librarian
If wide-spread reports are to believed then Aaron Lennon will today have a scan on his troublesome groin injury that threatens to keep out for a further 2 months.
He suffered the injury against West Ham on December 28th and he was expected to be out for 2-4 weeks but the fact that he has (apparently) been mis-diagnoised by our medical team is not an unfamiliar occurrence this season after seeing both Woodgate and Modric remain injured for longer than initially reported, with the.............more

Wigan vs Tottenham - Match Preview
by Alan the librarian
Oh no it's Wigan. If there's one team outside the top 4 I would not want our out-of-sorts Tottenham to play at the moment it's Wigan away. This game is a recipe for disaster. Let me remind you of the ingrediants:
9-1. After suffering the humiliation of THAT rugby score, Wigan are likely to be desperate for revenge.
Lennon. Our chief tormentor in the 9-1 game is not match fit so whether he makes the bench or not, we probably won't get a repeat performance fro.............more

In Harry we Trust
by Midnightjester
Too much nay-saying going on here at PushandRun, methinks. It's odd how many geniuses there are sitting in front of their computers who could take Tottenham back to glory if only someone recognised their innate (or possibly inane) abilities and given them the chance. I am especially impressed with those who commented on "Harry's madness costs us dear" without the use of any familiar sort of diction and the help of (apparently) only a foreign language dictionary in.............more

Harry now to blame for ruining our love lives
by Alan the librarian
Bolton vs. Tottenham
Reviewing some of the comments from spurs fans following the defeat to Wolves I wouldn't be surprised if many of you blame Harry when your partner questions the lack of romance on show this valentines day. Afterall, it's thanks to Harry we find ourselves in the latter stages of the FA Cup and the nuisance of a game on a day, which for some of us, is the only time we enter a flower shop.
No one can deny that Harry's bizzare team selection cost us.............more

Not f ing good enough!!
by Saul McNeilage
I'm spitting bricks this morning.
What the hell was that last night at Wolves? Another missed opportunity that's what.
With Liverpoo losing and Villa only picking up a point, we had the perfect chance to regain 4th spot but, yet again, we didn't turn up.
I think enough's been said in Alan's article about Harry's team selection last night but, please. Kaboul at right back? Do me a favour.
I'm not one for going into stats.............more

Harry's madness costs us dear
by Alan the librarian
Tottenham's pursuit of 4th place took a massive blow tonight as we lost 1-0 (again) vs Wolves.
The result was a shock right up until the team sheets were made public.
Only really Harry can make sense of his decision to play Jenas instead of Palacios, Kaboul at right back and start with a rusty Icelander up front. I'll let you debate the merits of playing Kranjcar ahead of Modric as really I was too busy smashing my head against a brick wall with the others.

To dare is to do Wolves - Match Preview
by Alan the librarian
Wolves vs Tottenham - Wed 10th Feb (KO 19.45)
After being held to draws in our last two premier league games, spurs will be hoping to register three points against struggling Wolves on Wednesday.
Increased attention will be on Harry's selections during this game after receiving criticism from some quarters for his substitutions which have failed to turn dominance into 3 points.
Against Birmingham, his decision to take off Defoe and Bentley for the more defe.............more

Stage set for thriller with Villa
by Alan the librarian
There's just 2 points separating these 4th place chasing sides with Villa having played one game less, so to use the word thriller and Villa in the title was always going to prove too tempting an opportunity for me to pass up.
I think fans from both sides are looking forward to this game as Villa are considerably more expansive away from home and spurs are 4th highest PL scorers at home. However, allow me to provide a note of caution that up until Gabriel Agbonlahor's two goal t.............more
