So that's 2009-10 season done with then. Not the greatest ending but the rest wasn't bad (best ever PL season on record in fact). I promised an end of season review but you all witnessed it and probably have far more interesting views and experiences than I do. With that in mind, I am inviting fans to share with others their thoughts on the following (along with my own suggestions):
Best spurs game of the season - Arsenal, Chelsea, City or Wigan are probably front runners for me. City away being 'the one'. We may not have got a cup final in a traditional sense but aside from a tin pot being awarded at the end of it, that had everything.
Best goal of the season - my memory is a little rusty but BAE at Liverpool, Defoe's against UTD or Hudd's against Bolton spring to mind. My favourite was Defoe's last against Hull. Brilliant strike to cap off an excellent display from player and club.
Best player of the season - I would give it to Gomes or Dawson as Bale and Lennon 'only' gave half seasons.
Best individual performance in a single game - Lennon/Defoe against Wigan, Bale against Arsenal?
Best moment of the year - Mine was Didier Drogba signalling he wanted out of the second half at WHL. "Please Carlo, I want to go home". As Fergie would say, we battered them.
Best signing - Niko Kranjcar would get many people's vote and I can't disagree but possibly Kaboul for what he represents for the future. Niko will always been a good squad player but right full-back is up for grabs I feel and we may found the answer in Younes. He's was brilliant against Arsenal, Chelsea, Bolton and City. Top performances against top sides. Very encouraging.
Most improved player - Not easy this one as how much can you attribute the improvement with merely getting a run of games or how much can you say is down to work on the training ground? I'll let you decide that one as I feel a case could be argued either way when you consider Hudd, Dawson, Bale and Pav in particular.
Feel free to reverse this to 'worst of's' (if you are half empty kind of bloke). I would imagine most of the worst stuff will be focussed on Pompey in the cup but yesterday gave that a run for it's money.
The biggest disappointment for me was the Wolves away game. I thought we played OK against Pompey in the cup but against Wolves we just didn't turn up. The forums after that game and indeed a few games after were not nice places to be visiting. Harry haters out in force and not much could be done to contain it. Some of the decisions made that day were poor as it appeared he prioritised the cup game that weekend. Ironically the thing I bitched about the most was Harry's decision to leave out Palacios and also to play Kaboul at right-back. How things change. That's the beauty of football. Fans opinions change all the time and that's another thing I would like your opinion on. I guess you can call it the biggest surprise of the campaign. Be it a single result, player or any moment.
COYS!
Best moment...Danny Rose goal. EPL debut, the guy is only 19 and a wonder strike to set us on the way. Sort of thing in books.
best spurs game was against chelsea i think, best performance, and after beating arsenal was important we carried on, gave us the hope to finish 4th.
goal, agree with BAE against bin dippers
player- dawson
indevidual performance, gomes against arsenal
best moment of the year, harry getting soaked
signing, Kaboul without him we wouldnt be here now
improved, easily bale, the rest were good players before, bale couldnt get a game, now hes a mandatory starter
wost moment- not sure, stoke at home, battering villa and not winning, everton penalty miss, wolves. all bad, but we got 4th and are all over the moon,
When we beat arsenal and chelsea 2-1 , Also the fanastic danny rose goal aginst Arsenal what a Goal , and also when we beat wigan 9-1 at the lane i was there :P and 1 more finishing 4th COYS
game - arsenal win
goal - luka niko and corluka passing a round then luka chip against everton
or danny rose against arsenal
player - dawson and ledley when fit have been immense
moment - crouchs goal against city
signing - niko for 2.5 mil has chipped in with some decent goals and assists and great
when weve been without luka and lennon for big periods of time
improved - bale!bale!bale!bale!bale!
worse - some of the away games against the top four earlier on when we bent over for a bumming
The entire coaching staff , Gomes is immense .
Worst moment - easy 90 minutes worth against Liverpool away - there for the taking and they weren't taken. Best? the goal feats away to Hull, home to Wigan but Chelsea Spartak at Wembley aside I can't remember three wins so imporatnt, so closely grouped as the three that took Tottenham to fourth. The Gazza-inspired wins in the '91 FA cup, round after round, must be the last time there was a truly great sequence of results, but to have three in four games against the four other clubs at the top of the table is better than anything since Greaves-Chivers days aside from Clive Allen's great season .

Cheers for your contributions Dazza. In the process, you've actually provided a good template for others to copy and paste if they wish.
I think the give away to what's happened to Robbie Keane is pictures of him when he first signed for spurs and when he re-joined. He appears a couple of stone heavier. The fact that he went to Scotland showed he has no ambition at all and was just looking for a couple of easy trophies (which he didn't get). Levy will have his work cut out selling him for anywhere near what we paid.

MKYid - yeh that was a horrific goal as well but as much as i hate to admit it, it was scored by a class player! was it fuller? who got the ball for stoke down our end by the corner flag with about 3 players round him and we let him walz through like he was maradona! just remember the anger after that game thats why i put it there!

I wrote that I would follow your team for the last three games. Yes, that's almost the same as giving up on football. But not quite.
Twitch in a miiiiiiiiiiiiinutte, you're gonna twitch in a minute...

Sounds like we converted you after the NLD and our showing against the current champions...fair enough. Don't expect ot get a season ticket any time soon though, we had a 5 year waiting list before we even finished in the top 4.
Most Encouraging: a five year wating list for a Spud season ticket.
Best Improved Manager: Arsene Wenger.
Arsene Wenger is the first person you meet when you go to heaven.
so he is forcing children to indulge in necrophilia, just wrong.
Nobby Nobbs, you're my favorite Spud.

When Arsene Wenger goes to Paris, the girls wear their hats in a cheeky way.
Are the schools on a mid-term again?
All together now..........
We f cked your season up, We f cked your season up.....
BAron...your posts embarrass you and your club more than anything else. Do you really think your childish taunting would bother us after the season we have had?
You need to grow up.
best..Dawson..best moments Gomes v Arsenal.Best game.. v Chelsea we totally outclassed them. Most improved Bale.
Worst Wolves away just shocking.Best awayday/night Leeds away so good to see so many travel in such awful conditions and the beer was good.

Also well done to the 6 who got in the early England squad. It'd be nice to see the Spurs contingent do well in a winning world cup team.
